Hello. I’m a guy in my late twenties from Great Britain and I’m seeking new writing partners and enticing plots to fill the gloomy days of Autumn and hopefully beyond. I work mostly with third person past tense although first person is a guilty pleasure when the story is to die for. I predominantly do M/F roleplays where I play the male and while I can live without romance I tend to have more success with plots within which it plays a major part. With that said I also enjoy some well written smut and therefore only write with those who are at the very least twenty years old.
Most typically I play tall, dark and handsome sorts with sharp wit and clever quips aplenty. Obviously as a writer this can vary depending on what fits the narrative but the Byronic hero is who I fare best with and have had the most fun using. Honestly I don’t have a preference for the types of characters I play against save for the fact I don’t appreciate god-modders.
Now as far as plots and settings go, I consider myself diverse. History is a side hobby of mine so I’m familiar enough with many time periods to build a story around; my favourites being from the 17th to the 19th Century. I’m just as comfortable with modern day times and tend to incorporate a great deal of travelling around the globe to spice that up. The kinds of plots I’m looking to write are as follows:
The Wild West
Early American frontier
High seas piracy
The Jacobite Revolution
Medieval (with minimal fantasy elements)
I have a plethora of plots in mind from all of the above and would be happy to suggest one upon enquiry. However, I’m equally as interested in hearing others. One of the more satisfying things I find about writing is helping someone fulfil a craving and while I can’t guarantee I’ll take to it, there is no harm in discussing things. I appreciate a few qualities in a potential partner such as being friendly OOC and enjoying a bit of brainstorming and plotting. I can’t work with anyone who doesn’t show initiative i.e. has to plan every single reply, creates drama or merely regurgitates everything I write without moving the story forward. On saying that I tend to be patient and reasonable; I’ve never ditched anyone without first having a word about what went wrong.
I roleplay over email and am active enough to the tune of typically at least a reply per day. Reflecting that will yield the best results but I’m adaptive enough to work with whatever my partner can manage. Thanks for your consideration.
